What does INSIGHT provide?

INSIGHT aims to equip users with powerful analyses to support learning and teaching provision in schools. It provides classroom and head teachers with a complete suite of data that builds on CEM’s robust assessment and monitoring foundations to provide a comprehensive pupil profiling facility.

Using INSIGHT teachers will not only be able to get an accurate measure of developed ability, but will also be able to gauge attainment – all integrated within the same system. Furthermore, INSIGHT will provide teachers with school level attitudinal reports – to enable a more rounded understanding of pupils.

INSIGHT is designed to be practical, reliable and flexible. Delivered via a new and advanced computer interface, Insight provides all the CEM facilities teachers have come to know and trust, plus new features for greater ease of use and interaction.

How does INSIGHT work?

INSIGHT measures: INSIGHT Provides:
Maths, Science and Reading curriculum knowledge at Year 9

KS3 equivalent levels
Standardised scores
GCSE predictions
Value-added feedback

Developed ability from non-curriculum measures - vocabulary, skills and non-verbal ability
Individuals' Attitudes; to school, to education, to career plans, etc.
School level reports

Why use INSIGHT?

With the demise of KS3 SATS many schools are very keen for a replacement assessment system. INSIGHT will not only help fill this void, but go beyond that by providing teachers with a very powerful analysis tool that will help to improve teaching and learning.
